Fitting handles or knobs on bathroom cabinets
These days there are loads of apps available for ordering tradesman services to sort things out at home. You can, however, trust us when we say that fitting our handles in the bathroom or kitchen is super easy and that most people do not need a tradesman for it. Just follow the 5 simple steps below and it should not take more than 10-20 minutes.
5 steps to fitting handles or knobs on bathroom cabinets:

If you already have a nice bathroom cabinet that you were thinking of upgrading with new cabinet handles or drawer handles, then you first need to measure the size of the existing handles. If there are already existing holes, it is easiest to buy new handles with the same centre distance that you simply screw on.
It is the centre distance that applies when measuring how large the distance is between the holes for the handle. The centre distance is the distance between the holes (centre-to-centre). There are 5 different standards in Sweden for the distance between the holes - they are 320, 160, 128, 96 and 87 mm, with 128 mm being the most common. Prepare the bathroom cabinet or bathroom fronts
Do your bathroom cabinets currently have no handles or knobs? Then you must first drill holes in the bathroom cabinets. To drill holes it is important that you keep the right distance or spacing between the holes and measure from the edge of the bathroom cabinet.
Many DIY shops and also IKEA sell drilling templates that make it easy to position holes correctly. Place the template at the edge and mark where the hole should be.
If you are only putting up a single knob or handle, then it is less important that it is completely exact. But if your bathroom has several cabinets that need drilling, it is money well spent to buy a drilling template so that the handles end up in exactly the same place on every bathroom cabinet.
Drill holes in the bathroom cabinet and test that the handle fits
Many handles and knobs require you to drill holes in the bathroom cabinet. There are some handles that can be fixed without holes, but they may be of lower quality. It is not hard to drill holes - the most important thing is that you keep safety in mind when using the drill. It can also be worth using a guard - it can be as simple as a piece of wood. Test with a handle once you have drilled the first hole so that you can see that you have measured correctly.
