Measure the size using cc measurements on the old bathroom cabinet
If you already have a nice bathroom cabinet that you are thinking of upgrading with new cabinet handles or drawer handles, the first thing to do is measure the size of the existing handles. If there are already existing holes, the easiest way is to buy new handles with the same CC dimensions that you just screw in.
The cc measurement is used to measure the distance between the holes for the handle. The CC measurement is the distance between the holes (center-to-center). There are 5 different standards in Sweden for the distance between the holes - these are 320, 160, 128, 96 and 87 mm, with 128 mm being the most common. At Freya Home, we always show the size in the technical specifications so that you can be sure that the product fits your cabinet.
Prepare the bathroom cabinet or bathroom doors
Do your bathroom cabinets currently have no handles or knobs? Then you will first need to drill holes in the bathroom cabinets. To drill holes, it is important that you keep the correct distance or spacing between holes and measure from the edge of the bathroom cabinet.
Many craft stores and even IKEA sell drilling templates that make it easy to place holes correctly. Place the template at the edge and draw in where the hole should be.
If you are only going to install a knob or handle, then it is less important that it is completely precise. However, if your bathroom has several cabinets where drilling will be done, it is money well invested to buy a drilling template so that the handles end up in exactly the same place for each bathroom cabinet.
Drill holes in the bathroom cabinet and test that the handle fits.
Many handles and knobs require drilling holes in the bathroom cabinet. There are some handles that can be fixed without holes, but they may be of lower quality. Drilling holes is not difficult - the most important thing is that you think about safety when using the drill. It may also be worth using a guard - it can be as simple as a wooden plate. Test the handle after you have drilled the first hole to make sure you have measured correctly.
YouTube has good instructional videos on how to do it .
At first, it can be a bit difficult to get started - but using a drill to make a few holes in the bathroom cabinet or bathroom drawers is easy.

Once you have finished drilling, all that remains is to install and screw in the handles or knobs in each cabinet, and then it's done - easy, right?
